MPeXnetworks operates its own autonomous system as a highly available network based on BGP4 and obtains redundant IP transit from the largest international IP upstream providers via separate transmission paths.
Our partners possess extensive international fiber-optic communication networks both in and between Europe, Asia and the USA and belong to the largest carrier class, TIER-1. Each of them operates one of the largest 10 global, seamless and redundant IP backbones.
The connection in Berlin comprises a ring structure in which the backbone consists of separate transmission paths through Hamburg and Munich to Frankfurt, and not just individual spurs.

Peering and memberships
To enhance national availability, public peering is maintained in Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf through the BCIX (Berlin Commercial Internet Exchange) and ECIX (European Commercial Internet Exchange) nodes. MPeXnetworks exchanges data there with many major German and European end-customer providers.
MPeXnetworks is a member of the RIPE Network Coordination Center, the European distribution authority for IP addresses and autonomous networks. As an Internet registrar, we request and administer address spaces for you directly and independent of other service providers.
Furthermore, we are a member of the BCIX, the independent regional peering point for Berlin and Brandenburg. In the context of the activities of BCIX e.V., our customers profit from collaboration and exchange of experience with other service providers.
